Should I put a security camera inside my garage?

A garage camera can be useful if the garage stores vehicles, tools, bikes, equipment, or has a direct door into the home. However, the door from the garage into the house should also be protected with a door contact sensor because cameras alone do not detect unauthorized opening as reliably as an alarm sensor. For attached garages, exterior garage coverage plus a sensor on the interior access door is often a strong setup. Detached garages may need additional planning for power, signal strength, and monitoring.
